Warung Laki Bini, Klang: Roti Tetap & an '80s-Style Breakfast

Klang folks who love eating breakfast out have one more new address to try. Warung Laki Bini is on Jalan Sungai Pinang, near Lebuhraya Selat Klang, and as soon as we stepped in, it felt like going back to the '80s. Batik cloth hangs as decoration, while old movie posters cover the walls.

The most-ordered item is the roti tetap daging spesial, a soft bread with a meat filling that's a filling way to start the day. For those whose morning isn't complete without rice, the nasi lemak ayam goreng berempah (with spiced fried chicken) is a safe bet.

Another one worth trying is the roti tictac, two slices of crispy bread with a soft, creamy egg in the middle. The Laki Bini spesial version adds a moderate amount of cheese, just enough for richness without drowning out the egg.

We also loved the combo of roti keju with mushroom soup; the soup is thick and perfect for dipping. For something different, there's also a breakfast version of roti tetap with a burger-style filling. Drinks are the usual Malay warung choices, including chocolate drink, teh tarik and orange juice.

In one corner, visitors can write down what's on their mind on a board provided, a small touch that adds to the shop's relaxed vibe.

Warung Laki Bini is open Tuesday to Sunday, 7am to 2pm, and closed every Monday. Table bookings can be made via WhatsApp at 011-3272 3653, and takeaway or delivery orders are available via the Easy Eat platform.
