Tamu Eco Lenggeng: A Hilltop Resort an Hour from KL

Tucked away in Kampung Jelatok Mendum, Lenggeng, Tamu Eco Lenggeng is a small resort that opened in 2025 on a hill next to a forest reserve. According to its official site, the drive from Kuala Lumpur takes about 45 minutes via the LEKAS Highway, and around 50 minutes from KLIA. When we came, the roads were smooth and traffic-free.

The two-acre site was originally a tropical fruit orchard, and its design by Studio Gayaa blends rustic style with modern touches. From the resort's viewpoint, the mountain range stretches out wide, and at night the sky is clear enough to see the stars and moon.

There are two types of chalets. Tamu Anjung fits up to four people, with a queen bed and a sofa bed. Tamu Pangkin is a two-storey unit for up to six people, with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Both include breakfast, and the breakfast we had was really filling.

The swimming pool is fairly big and uses cool hill water. Down below there's a small petting zoo with goats, rabbits and ducks that kids can touch, plus a shallow stream to dip your feet in. For entertainment, there's air hockey, a dartboard, a pool table, foosball and a playground.

The resort also has a hall for team building, family days, meetings or small events, plus a tidy surau and a spacious car park. This combination makes it a great choice for a family getaway or a company programme without having to drive far from the Klang Valley.
