Stadium Sultan Ibrahim in Iskandar Puteri, home of JDT, offers behind-the-scenes stadium tours, Hummer limousine rides, Woodfire burgers and an official merchandise store for football fans.
Stadium Sultan Ibrahim in Iskandar Puteri is the home ground of Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), opened in February 2020 with room for 40,000 fans. It is more than a match venue, though. The stadium doubles as a sports tourism destination with plenty to do around it.
The main draw is the stadium tour. Visitors see the players' lounge, a spacious prayer room, the JDT and away team preparation rooms, the away side's warm-up area and a display of Super League trophies. It genuinely feels like walking out as a player. According to online booking listings, the tour lasts around 45 to 60 minutes and tickets are redeemed at the counter in front of parking zone 5.
Another one-off experience is the Hummer tour, a ride around the outside of the stadium in a Hummer limousine long enough to seat more than 10 people. Afterwards, grab a bite at Woodfire inside the complex. There are plenty of burgers to choose from, and our favourite was the brisket burger.
Before leaving, drop by JDT Direct, the official store stocking jerseys, caps and other JDT sports gear. Supporters of rival clubs are welcome too.
