Restoran Abang Botak, Klang: Village-Style Sharing Trays
A village-style restaurant in Klang that offered five kinds of set talam (sharing trays) for Ramadan 2026, loaded with grilled lamb, asam pedas, gulai kawah and plenty of add-ons.
If you are in Klang and love eating together from one big tray, Restoran Abang Botak belongs on your list. The dining room is roomy and comfortable, ideal for families and friends. During Ramadan 2026 it offered up to five kinds of set talam (sharing trays) for four to six people, with free drinks and dates.
We had the four-person tray: grilled lamb with vegetables and sauce, thick and tangy asam pedas ikan (sour and spicy fish), crunchy ayam goreng berempah (spiced fried chicken), ulam (fresh herbs) with sambal belacan, daging gulai kawah (beef cauldron curry), udang sambal petai and gulai lemak labu (pumpkin in coconut gravy). Add-ons include daging masak hitam, the house fried rice with crispy prawns, ayam percik, nasi kerabu with grilled beef fat and grilled fish.
Beyond the trays there are soups, cooked-to-order dishes, shell out and more. During Ramadan the restaurant opened from 4pm to 11pm. The buka puasa trays ended with Ramadan 2026, so check the restaurant's official accounts for the current menu and hours.
