Panda Funland, The Mines: A Night-Time Playground with 30 Attractions

After working hours, options for taking the kids out to play are usually limited to shopping malls. Panda Funland offers a more active alternative: an open-air playground that only operates at night, located in the Uptown area of The Mines in Seri Kembangan. There are more than 30 attractions here, and most of them can be tried by adults too.

The first attraction we tried was the Climb and Slide Volcano, a volcano structure you climb before sliding down. It's even more fun if you race your friends. Nearby, the Rainbow Slide uses floats to glide down a colourful track, and kids can ride it together with a guardian.

For a classic playground feel, there are pedal cars and see-saws powered by your own energy. For jumping to your heart's content, there's a giant trampoline, a jellyfish-shaped trampoline and a bouncy castle. Little ones can also ride a mini spaceship-themed roller coaster and a small train.

When you're tired, the light garden area and butterfly swings are the spots to rest and snap photos. The decorative lights all around the grounds look their best once it's fully dark, at around eight at night.

Panda Funland is open daily from 6pm to midnight. Adult tickets cost RM15 and children's tickets RM28, while children under 80 cm and OKU (disabled) visitors enter free. Monthly passes are also offered, and parking in the area costs RM3. For dinner, the row of shops at the adjacent Uptown is a good option.
