OPPO & Tourism Malaysia: Rediscover Malaysia With Find X
OPPO Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia sign an MoC for the Rediscovering Malaysia Through the Lens campaign. Pre-order the Find X10 for 6 free photo workshops.
Good news for anyone who loves taking photos on their travels. OPPO Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) in Kuala Lumpur on 8 October 2026. It builds on the Rediscovering Malaysia Through the Lens campaign announced in May, and the goal is simple: help local photographers and artists capture Malaysia's culture and places, then share them with the world.

Photos: OPPO MalaysiaFor the campaign, photographers Haziq Zuki, Yusuf Madi and Zairul Puad travelled around Malaysia with OPPO's flagship Find X Series phones. They went off the beaten path, to remote coastal communities, little-known trails and heritage that rarely makes it onto camera.
One stop was Wau Sobek Sering in Kelantan, where craftsmen still make wau (traditional Malay kites) by hand and talk about a tradition that is slowly fading. At Pulau Mawar, Mersing, the pitch-black sky let them capture the Milky Way arching over the island's rocks, as if the galaxy meets the sea. A real hidden gem in Johor.
Monica Qin of OPPO Malaysia said the most powerful stories are told through images, and Malaysia has no shortage of them. She hopes the photos help the world see Malaysia as "an experience waiting to be discovered", not just a destination.

You can see the photos on OPPO Malaysia's Instagram and on each photographer's own account.
Mr Mohd Akbal Setia, Deputy Director General (Promotions) and Head of the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 Secretariat, said the partnership builds on an earlier Strategic Communication Programme in Kelantan that involved 15 participants from OPPO Malaysia, with the same aim of showcasing Malaysia's unique destinations through visual storytelling.
This is not OPPO's first project celebrating Malaysia through the camera. In 2024, the #OPPOMalaysiaThroughTheLens campaign and its coffee table book captured five traditional Malaysian art forms, from Wayang Kulit (shadow puppetry) to the Ngajat dance. This time the focus shifts from preserving culture to discovering destinations.
More news for photography fans: the OPPO Find X10 Series is launching in Malaysia soon, together with ColorOS software upgrades. The launch poster gives the date as 22 October 2026, 5pm. OPPO is also the official mobile photography partner of Visit Malaysia 2026–2027.
