Opah Bakery & Dessert: Hundreds of Fresh Pastries in Bandar Bukit Raja

Kek lapis fans will surely know the name Opah Sarawak. Now the same brand has opened its own bakery, Opah Bakery & Dessert, on Jalan Astaka 1A, Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, an area many people consider part of Setia Alam. The shop started operating around May 2026.

According to the bakery, all the bread and pastries are made from scratch in their own kitchen under the guidance of experienced chefs. The display racks are packed with choices, and when we came, many were still warm from being baked that same morning.

Among the most sought-after are the kunafa pistachio croissant (around RM13.90), strawberry croissant, strawberry cream cake, puffs, jumbo donuts, scones, butter cake, Thai milk buns, cream puffs and roti sawo. The sweetness is moderate, so you won't get sick of it quickly. For cakes, the options include chocolate moist, tiramisu and burnt cheesecake, sold by the slice or whole, and cakes for special occasions can be ordered.

The bakery also has a dine-in area with a menu of heartier meals. The Opah Big Breakfast (around RM14.90) comes with sausage, tomato and eggs, great with roti sawo. We also tried the creamy, rich chicken spaghetti carbonara. Other items include bagels and nasi lemak ayam rendang.

Opah Bakery & Dessert is open daily from 10am to 10pm, and you can also order via foodpanda if you'd rather enjoy it at home.
