ONO Specialty Coffee & Matcha, SS2: World-Class Coffee
A coffee and matcha café in SS2 ranked among the world's best coffee shops, which opened late for moreh during Ramadan 2026 with two seasonal drinks.
ONO Specialty Coffee & Matcha on Jalan SS 2/30, Petaling Jaya opened in December 2021 as a collaboration between a champion brewer, a master roaster and the founder of Niko Neko Matcha. In 2025 it ranked ninth on The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops, according to FMT.
From 27 February to 15 March 2026, ONO extended its hours from 6pm to 11.30pm for moreh (the late-night meal after tarawih prayers). There were two seasonal drinks: Golden Cloud, coffee with peanut butter, and Garden Sparkle, a refreshing mix of watermelon, lychee and soda. Light bites and desserts were also served in the evening.
Those Ramadan hours have ended. Normally ONO opens daily from 10.30am to 6pm, and it is well worth a visit if you take your coffee and matcha seriously.

- Arrive early at weekends, as the café is popular.
- Evening hours were only for Ramadan; on normal days it closes at 6pm.
- Order one coffee and one matcha drink to taste both specialities.
