Makan Cendol by The Braders' Durian, Setapak: Loaded Durian Cendol and Patin Tempoyak

For durian lovers in the Klang Valley, Makan Cendol by The Braders' Durian in Setapak is a must-stop. Besides a wide range of cendol (shaved ice dessert with green jelly and coconut milk), it also serves heartier dishes such as patin tempoyak (silver catfish in fermented durian curry).
Throughout May 2026, the shop ran a promotion on durian cendol selambak (a generous heap) at RM13 and a patin tempoyak set at RM20. The set came with rice, an omelette, soy sauce, sambal belacan and corn cendol. The tempoyak gravy is thick and spicy, and the fish tastes fresh. The May promotion has ended, but these dishes remain on the menu.
The star here is the cendol durian kahwin selambak, which truly lives up to its name. The durian pieces are large, golden and sweet with a rich creaminess. During the promotion, the special price applied to dine-in only.
The shop opens daily from 12 noon to 12 midnight, so it works for a late-night dessert too.
