Luck Bros Kopi, Petaling Street: Nasi Lemak Panggung with a Merdeka 118 View
A modern kopitiam in an old shophouse lot near Jalan Panggong, with outdoor tables facing Merdeka 118 and classic dishes like nasi lemak, mee kari and cendol.

At the junction of Jalan Balai Polis and the Jalan Panggong area, not far from Petaling Street, Luck Bros Kopi occupies a restored pre-war shophouse. The kopitiam used to be known as Luckin Kopi before it was renamed, and it now has several other branches, including at NU Sentral, Puchong and KLIA2.
The décor mixes industrial touches, like exposed brick walls, with traditional Malaysian elements such as rattan furniture. According to the shop, the premises are halal-certified and have been listed in the Malaysia Book of Records. You can choose between the air-conditioned indoor area or the outdoor tables facing the Merdeka 118 tower, one of the most striking city views in the area.
Our pick is the nasi lemak panggung, a classic nasi lemak served with three different sambals. If you're after something soupy, the kari laksa (curry laksa), with a choice of rice vermicelli or noodles, has a thick broth packed with spice.
For snacks, try the ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) and the soy garlic fried chicken. For drinks, the Milo tower, served in a giant tower, is perfect for sharing with a big group, and you can round off your meal with a cendol klasik that's sweet, creamy and refreshing.
The Petaling Street branch is open daily from 8am to 2am, so it works for breakfast or supper. Orders are made via the QR code at your table. Pasar Seni LRT and MRT stations are within walking distance.
