La Padella, Puchong Utama: Italian & Western with a Local Twist

Looking for affordable Italian and western food in Puchong, we stopped by La Padella Western & Italian. The restaurant previously operated on Jalan 3, Kampung Pasir Puchong, and has just moved to Jalan Utama 1/4, Taman Perindustrian Puchong Utama. The concept is Italian and western dishes with a local touch, and it's long been known for big portions at reasonable prices.

The new location is more family-friendly. There's a playground for the kids, live music performances and a spacious parking area, so it's easy to come in a big group without the headache of finding a parking spot. The kids can play while waiting for the food.

The most premium item is the oyster thermidor, served with lemon and sauce. The oysters are fresh, perfect for seafood lovers. For pasta fans, the smoked duck fettuccine is creamy and well cooked, while the beef pepperoni macaroni is the pick for those who want the cheesiest option. The restaurant is also known for its carbonara, aglio olio, chicken chop and grilled lamb dishes.

For local tastebuds, there's a rich tomyam and a filling kuey teow daging halia (ginger beef kuey teow). The drinks are colourful, including piña colada, watermelon lychee and blue lemon, wonderfully refreshing after a heavy meal.

The average cost is around RM20 to RM40 per person, and the portions really are big. La Padella is great for a relaxed dinner with family or friends that feels a little special without burning a hole in your pocket.
