Kokodak i-City: RM35 Korean Buffet, JAKIM Halal

All-you-can-eat Korean food for RM35 per person? That's what brought us to Kokodak i-City in Shah Alam. It's easy to find, right opposite MySpot and Sky City, and at night you can eat with the lights of Sky City as your backdrop. Kokodak has also obtained JAKIM halal certification.

The RM35 price applies to each adult with a minimum of two people, and each dining session is limited to 90 minutes. Children are charged a lower price based on height. The main dishes, pineapple fried rice and BBQ chicken, are cooked in front of you and served piping hot. We topped up our mains three times ourselves because the service was so quick.

Around it are 18 kinds of side dishes you can refill without limit: crispy, spicy yangnyeom chicken, chewy tteokbokki, kimbap packed with filling, japchae, takoyaki and plenty more. There are lots of sauces to choose from too, but our favourite is Kokodak's own special sauce.

The ramen section offers a variety of flavours that you cook yourself to your liking. For drinks, we tried the fizzy mangorita, blue lemonade, green grape ade and a refreshing peach iced tea. Before you leave, don't forget the soft-serve ice cream for dessert to round off your meal.

Kokodak is a great place to eat after tiring yourself out around i-City, especially for families or small groups who want to try a variety of Korean dishes at once without ordering them one by one.
