JP&Co, IOI City Mall: Casual Dining Café, Fifth Branch
This 'All Time Chill' café is now at IOI City Mall, with the Dirty Volcano Don, six-hour slow-cooked beef short rib and Malaysian dishes like nasi lemak ayam berempah.
JP&Co has now opened its fifth branch on the ground floor of IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. The café, with its slogan All Time Chill, runs with an Australian kitchen influence, and its menu combines Australian-style brunch, Japanese fusion rice bowls, Malaysian and oriental dishes, and a kids' menu.
The space is warm and calm even though it's inside a busy mall. We think it's great for family meals, dates or just hanging out with friends after shopping. Besides heavier meals, they also serve coffee, cakes and a breakfast menu, so the café works as a stop at any time of day.
Our first dish was the Dirty Volcano Don, one of their signatures. Salmon is served over seaweed fried rice and drizzled with homemade mayonnaise sauce. The combo is simple but filling.
What caught our attention most was the Australian beef short rib, slow-cooked for six hours. The meat is so tender the bone pulls out easily, with a smoky, savoury flavour, paired with a sweet BBQ sauce. We also tried the nasi lemak ayam berempah and Hainanese chicken chop, two options for those who want local flavours. The service throughout our visit was fast and friendly.
Besides IOI City Mall, JP&Co also operates at Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Square, Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Uptown Avenue Seremban. The IOI City Mall branch is at lot GE9-2, Ground Floor, Phase 1.
