Exploring Klang by LRT3: Markets, Legendary Cendol and a Landmark Mosque
FuyohhTV's quick guide to exploring Klang on LRT3, from Pasar Besar Klang and the famous Pasar Jawa cendol to AEON Bukit Tinggi, GM Klang and the Chinese Muslim Mosque, with no parking headaches.
With LRT3 now reaching Klang, plenty of spots are within reach without a car. Our first stop was Pasar Klang station. Step out and you will see Pasar Besar Klang, the big wet market for fish, chicken, squid and vegetables. Afterwards, carry on shopping at Klang Parade, one of Klang's longest-standing malls.
At Jambatan Kota station, every Klang local knows the legendary cendol (iced dessert with green jelly and palm sugar) at Pasar Jawa. Besides cendol there is rojak and fried noodles, plus stalls selling crisps, clothes and handicrafts. Shaw Centrepoint is only about five minutes away, and there is a mosque nearby for prayers.
Sri Andalas station sits close to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, home to a café selling viral waffles right next to the emergency ward. The final stop is Bandar Bukit Tinggi station, where AEON Bukit Tinggi, one of Klang's largest malls, is right in front of you.
While in the area, drop by GM Klang for wholesale clothing and goods, and the Chinese Muslim Mosque (Masjid Jamek Cina Muslim), known for its Chinese-style architecture and room for around 1,000 worshippers at a time.
