Al-Quran Festival 2026, Yayasan Restu Shah Alam: Prophetic Relics and a Warehouse Sale
The Al-Quran Festival at Yayasan Restu's Selangor International Islamic Arts Complex ran from 21 to 25 January 2026, with relics, Islamic history galleries, a Quran warehouse sale and over 70 food vendors.
Yayasan Restu's Al-Quran Festival returned from 21 to 25 January 2026 at the Selangor International Islamic Arts Complex on Persiaran Damai, Section 10, Shah Alam. The five-day festival has now ended, but we dropped by and found it bigger and livelier than previous editions.
The biggest crowds gathered around the display of relics of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), including a staff and turban, as well as strands of hair and beard. There were also pieces of the Kaabah kiswah, both old and new. The complex houses several galleries worth your time: Rehlah Nabawiyah, which traces the Prophet's life up to his passing and includes a replica of his home, a VR journey to the era of the prophets, the Mushaf Gallery showcasing Malay artistry in the Quran, and the Haramain Gallery with artefacts from the Holy Land.
Shoppers could browse a warehouse sale of Qurans and religious books with discounts of up to 70%. Visitors could also hand in old Qurans for proper disposal and receive a new one in exchange. Calligraphy, woodcarving and other Islamic crafts were demonstrated and sold on site.
Outside, more than 70 food vendors set up stalls, and every visitor who registered received a goodie bag. It was a genuinely family-friendly outing. For the next edition, keep an eye on Yayasan Restu and Restu Global Mall's official accounts.
