Cravepoint, Puncak Alam: Black Angus Rib-Eye Steak Under RM100
A new restaurant in Eco Grandeur blending Western, Malay and fusion cooking, from Black Angus rib-eye steak to spaghetti masak lemak and big-portion fried rice.
Puncak Alam residents now have one more option for family meals. Cravepoint has opened in the row of shops on Persiaran Eco Grandeur 1, and its menu spans three worlds: Western, local and fusion. As soon as we walked in, we felt its calm atmosphere, with soft lighting and a table layout that's comfortable for small or large groups.
The main dish we tried was the MB2-grade Black Angus rib-eye steak. You can choose your own doneness, and the meat is tender to bite into. It's priced under RM100, a reasonable figure for a Black Angus cut. Next was the skillet, available with Black Angus beef or chicken, with a smoky flavour and juicy meat. The chicken parmigiana comes with a large piece of chicken that's crispy outside and blanketed in cheese.
For pasta fans, the squid ink seafood spaghetti looks dark but tastes creamy. The option closest to local tastes is the spaghetti masak lemak with beef streaky, with a thick sauce and medium spiciness. Carbonara, fish and chips and lasagna are also on the menu.
If you had to pick just one, we'd recommend the nasi goreng Cravepoint. The portion is big and the chicken is generous. For drinks, there are house creations like Dear Darling, Matcha Strawberry and Coconut De Sky with Oreo, besides coffee.
The dining room is spacious enough for big group dinners, so booking early is a smart move.
Tips
- The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays; it's open from noon to 10pm on other days.
- State your steak doneness when ordering, for example medium for the most tender texture.
- The nasi goreng Cravepoint is big enough to share if you want to try a few other dishes.
