Buana Kita, Rembau: Riverside Glamping Named After the 12 Clans
A glamping site on ancestral family land in Kampung Gaing, Pedas, with tents named after the adat perpatih clans, outdoor activities and its own café.

Tucked away in Kampung Gaing, Pedas, about 22 kilometres from Seremban, Buana Kita is a glamping site built on ancestral family land. It first opened to the public in October 2020 and has since become a go-to for those who want a quick escape from city life without travelling far.
There are three tent sizes: 2 pax, 4 pax and 6 pax, all complete with beds. What makes this place different is that each tent is named after one of Negeri Sembilan's adat perpatih clans, including Biduanda, Payakumbuh, Tanah Datar, Batu Hampar, Mungkal and Seri Melenggang. The operators also introduce guests to the history and role of these 12 clans.
There's plenty to do during the day: zipline, archery, badminton, and cycling around the village. A river is close by for those who want to take a dip. The site is fenced, with a surau, shower rooms, toilets and parking. At night, guests can enjoy a BBQ and catch a wayang pacak (open-air movie screening) under the open sky.
Food is easy too. Warung Buana serves kampung-style dishes for breakfast and lunch, while Bianglala Cafe, located within Buana Kita itself, serves coffee, desserts and light Western-style meals in the afternoon and evening.
For us, Buana Kita is ideal for a family getaway or a group of friends looking for a peaceful village atmosphere with a touch of local culture. Nearby spots like Gunung Datuk and Muzium Rembau are also worth exploring if you're staying longer.
