BigFood Station (formerly Two Five Ikan Bakar), Sungai Udang, Klang

Ikan bakar fans in Klang may still know this shop as Two Five Ikan Bakar. The shop in Sungai Udang has now been renamed BigFood Station, but the location remains the same, so old customers don't need to hunt for a new place.

The concept is simple: pick your own fish from the display, then wait for it to be grilled. There's quite a wide choice of fish, and in our experience, prices are reasonable for big group meals. Besides ikan bakar (grilled fish), the shop also serves cooked-to-order dishes, sate and Western food, making it ideal for families whose members have different tastes.

While waiting for the fish, we ordered sate. The meat is juicy and well marinated, and the peanut sauce is rich and sweet. From the Western section, their lamb chop is tender and juicy, while the chicken chop is fried crispy and served with black pepper sauce. There are also soft meatballs in the style of a certain Swedish furniture store, just as tasty dipped in black pepper sauce.

But the star is still the siakap bakar (grilled sea bass), the best-seller here. The flesh is sweet and tender, coated in sambal before grilling, and eaten with kuah asam (tangy dipping sauce) and sambal kicap.

BigFood Station operates at night, from 7pm to midnight, perfect for a family dinner or a late hangout with friends. Since the new signboard may not be widely recognised yet, some map apps still show the shop's old name.
