Bangkok Street, Platinum Walk Setapak: Thai Food and a Kelantan Colek Feast
A halal Thai restaurant at Platinum Walk Setapak serving khao mok rice, som tam and mee celup, which also hosted a Kelantan colek feast throughout Ramadan 2026.
Craving Thai food without the trip? Bangkok Street at Platinum Walk, Setapak serves a wide range of Thai and Kelantanese dishes in a Bangkok street-style setting. According to reviews, its kitchen is fully halal.
Throughout Ramadan 2026, the restaurant held a Kelantan colek feast (colek being fruit or seafood with a sweet-spicy dipping sauce), with rows of choices such as prawn and crab, each with its own flavour. That promotion has ended, but the regular menu is still worth the visit. We tried nasi kerabu kambing bakar (blue herb rice with grilled lamb), generously portioned, and nasi khao mok, with fragrant rice, a big piece of chicken and sweet sambal.
Another must-try is the mee celup super, two kinds of noodles with plenty of tender beef and chicken. On the Thai side there is som tam, salted egg dishes and more, best enjoyed with a Thai iced tea.
It is a great spot for eating as a group with friends or family. Opening hours differ between sources, so check the official Facebook page before heading over.
