For Klang and Shah Alam diners, Al-Fateh Steamboat & Grill on Lorong Raja Jumaat, Kampung Jawa is one of the best-value steamboat spots around. The raw spread covers chicken, beef, lamb, seafood, vegetables and eggs, and the real draw is the marinade on the meats.
There are more than 20 ready-to-eat dishes such as mutton biryani, curries, grilled fish, lemak bakar (grilled beef fat) and ayam percik (grilled chicken in spiced coconut sauce), plus desserts and kuih. Customers we spoke to ranked lamb first, then chicken and beef. One group of six called it excellent value.
During Ramadan 2026, adults paid from RM50 and RM39 for the moreh session, expectant mothers and birthday guests got up to 50% off, and children five and under ate free. That promotion has ended. The dining area is spacious, parking is plentiful and there is a prayer room, making it a good family option all year.
