Aboy Cafe, Jalan Kebun: Big Portions for Around RM15
A late-night hangout café in Kampung Jalan Kebun, Shah Alam, with Korean chicken, RM15.90 lamb chop and RM15 chicken parmigiana in big portions.

Aboy Cafe on Jalan Ikhsan, Kampung Jalan Kebun, Seksyen 30, Shah Alam has long been talked about among locals for one thing: big portions at prices that stay wallet-friendly. On Google Maps, the café has racked up more than 2,000 reviews with a rating of around 4.7, a figure rarely reached by a neighbourhood shop.
The menu is dominated by Western and fusion dishes, along with a long list of drinks. We started with the Korean chicken. The sauce is sweet and spicy and clings nicely to chicken that's still tender inside, great for those who want bolder flavours.
Next was the lamb chop at RM15.90. The slices are big and juicy, and the lamb is tender enough to cut easily. For those who prefer chicken, the RM15 chicken parmigiana serves a big piece of chicken covered in melted cheese, with a fresh salad that isn't skimped on.
For drinks, their iced chocolate is thick and rich but not too sweet. The mango shake is thick with a clear mango flavour and blended with milk, making it creamy and refreshing after a heavy meal.
Besides the food, the atmosphere is comfortable for sitting for hours, which is why many make Aboy Cafe their hangout spot with friends. The café opens from late afternoon until late at night, from 4pm to midnight during our visit. It's also near several other eateries on Jalan Ikhsan, including Kodai Kueh, so it's easy to make it part of a food crawl around Jalan Kebun.
