10 Great Places to Eat from Muar and Tangkak to Johor Bahru

8. Pak Maon Western, Tangkak. In Tangkak, try the western food here with generous portions: chicken chop, lamb chop, pasta, nasi padang and, best of all, a tray set to share with the group.

9. Leypark D Sawah, Gerisek. Hang out by the paddy fields over fried snacks and western food. We missed the sunset, but the cool paddy breeze and quiet village vibe were still great.

10. Restoran Sri Pantai Asam Pedas, Kampung Sungai Melayu, Johor Bahru. End the trip with Johor asam pedas and seafood in a fishing village setting.
